...they're basics but SUPER. Classics, cut-up. Comforting, familiar, but a little complicated...SUPER BASICS takes recognisable garment forms and subverts their codes a little. De and re-constructions of the familiar. Designed to worn by both sexes and modelled on either (or hung on wall, or a washing line, and just admired). Every day items made a little transcendent...

(conceptual) T SHIRTs/ (Adaptable) SHIRTs/ A (broken) LITTLE BLACK DRESS/sweatshirt COMFORTERS…

Each item in the new collections expresses a formal brokenness - has been cut open and re-cohered, or is in parts and re-assembled to be worn - held together to form a garment...interrupted, reinterpreted, re-assembled...is better for having been broken.

SUPER BASICS & REHAB are the first commercially available collections from DRESS and follow ideas of the Crisis Manifesto of make.

Ongoing line of themed re-habilitated print dresses & dress parts.

An ongoing line of themed dresses & dress parts made from end of line left-over prints, vintage and found materials celebrating and de-constructing the traditional art of the dressmaker and the age old sustainable practice of waste not want not… Remaindered, reclaimed fabrics are regenerated into fashion forward items using traditional artisanal dressmaking methods.
